Welcome! We are Amanda & Tayler of Bright Light Digital Art. Here is our story, and how we turned our dreams into reality!

Both born & raised in the midwest, where life follows a pretty traditional path, we have always desired a little more excitement! We were married in 2014, maintained 9-5 jobs for many years, renovated our house, and enjoyed riding our motorcycles. We lived life somewhat un-extraordinarily, wanting more but unsure on the details of how to make it happen.

A trip to Electric Daisy Carnival (one of the world's largest music festivals) in 2018 inspired a move to Las Vegas, and a push to follow our dreams. Our naturally competitive spirit pushed us to learn at a fast pace while Amanda focused primarily on photography and Tayler took the lead on videography. We explored our new home nightly, capturing the lights of the city that inspired our name! Our passion grew and we quickly cemented a fun, colorful aesthetic, which has become part of Bright Light's signature style.

A chance meeting with members of a local House music collective started us on the path to photographing events, focusing primarily on the local Las Vegas music scene while building our portfolio and making local industry connections.

In late 2020, we were brought on to cover photography for the grand opening of AREA15, a brand new venue filled with colorful lights and psychedelic art, which paired perfectly with our style. The fun, vivid content and the ability to change direction at a moment’s notice greatly impressed the AREA15 team. Tasked with capturing commercial content for this new venue as well as covering their live music & corporate events proved to be a successful stepping stone for Amanda, leading to eventually take the plunge into a full time career of freelance photography.

Tayler was editing video for a local Skydiving company and working part-time second shooting with Amanda when needed. In early 2022, he joined on full time and we have never looked back! We upgraded our gear, expanded our network, and kept busy with a full calendar of work at all times.

2024 has brought us full circle back to downtown Las Vegas! We are currently the in-house media team for Corner Bar Management. They run multiple successful nightlife venues on "The Block" of East Fremont Street including Discopussy, We All Scream, Commonwealth, Cheapshot, Lucky Day, and two Restaurants - Park on Fremont & La Mona Rosa. We provide a constant stream of content for their social media accounts, advertising, website, and dining platforms.

While this all certainly keeps us busy, but we still enjoy taking on new gigs and side work, or even a full project when the right one comes along! We remain a freelance team with a desire to diversify our portfolio and expand into mastering an even wider variety of photo & video specialties and welcome all new opportunities.

Outside of work, we use most of our free time to travel - any excuse to get out of the city and into nature! We especially love the rainforests of the PNW and frequently travel to Washington state to go on camping adventures. Amanda enjoys swimming, sudoku, and all things Harry Potter. Tayler enjoys archery, video games, and fishing. We both enjoy reading books and watching movies while cuddling with our two cats, Sully & Rain.

Tayler's future goals: To do more Cinematography type work and improve at being more creative. Outside of work, I'd like to someday live in the middle of nowhere and build a cabin next to a river I can fish. I would like to be able to spend as much time in nature as possible while being comfortable and happy.

Amanda's future goals: I aspire to soon be able to tour the world! Whether that be to various music festivals, capturing nature or adventure content, or touring with my favorite bands - all would be welcome. I would put my entire life on hold to be able to go on tour with My Chemical Romance! I would love to learn underwater photography. Outside of work, I agree with Tayler - building a cabin in the woods sounds perfect!

Together, we look forward to projects & gigs that will allow us to see new places and provide the opportunity to capture more unique views from behind the lens - wherever that may be!
